It was to wet for the tractor pullers to run Friday night, but the sun came out Saturday morning and thanks to Jeff Jones of Gustine and Gary
Henderson and his crew from HWH Pulling Sled Inc., we got the track dried out and ready to run! There were 82 antique tractor hooks and 42 pick-ups & modified
tractors that pulled and included lots of central Texas pullers and even
a few from as far away as Katy, TX & Big Springs, TX. (Click

The 1st Annual Amos Staggs Campfire Pickin was a little soggy so we moved inside and the show went on....!!! Amos sang a selection of old
favorites and also showcased some of the new material for his soon to be released new album. It was amazing how many people braved the storms to come out
and enjoy the song writing talent of Mr. Amos Staggs. In fact so many showed up we had to bring in a PA and Amos had to make a
microphone stand out of a broom stick and some zip ties. Local radio personality Pam Nibblet of the "Pam & the Ham Morning Show on KYOX 94.3" came by and sit in
for a couple of songs with Amos and few on her own. Even Poncho Reyes of Goldthwaite brought out his guitar and played a few original tunes he wrote.
Saturday night's day featuring Matt Deaton & Front Porch Texas drew one of the biggest crowds ever seen at the Melody Oaks Ranch. And what a
show it was, Matt and the guys kept everyone on the dance floor with there outstanding Texas country sound. The highlight was an
acoustic solo by Matt of the
Star Spangle Banner....!!!
Melody Oaks Ranch is proud to host this event each year and it would not be possible if not for the great sponsors and the
wonderful people of Central Texas...!!!
